Microwave's Door Interlock Switch Issue
This is about a Kenmore microwave, other brands are similar.
The problem: Whenever the door is opened the microwave spins and it seems that it is cooking.
The reason: One of the interlock switch needs adjustment or is broken.
To fox:
- Unplug the power cord.
- Open the cover.
- Looking for 3 interlock switches behind the control panel.
- Adjust the screws to make sure the gaps between the door latches and the switches are less than 0.5mm.
- If it still has the problem, check the switches with a multimeter. Replace them if needed.
